    Array shape on a circle

In one of the YouTube videos I watched, they specifically mentioned that the rotation point will not snap to anything when you move it. You need to place it by hand as best you can. Unless you're making some sort of scientifically-accurate engineering drawing, being off by one or two pixels...

    Array shape on a circle

In my old version of PS (CS5), any time you use the Shape Tool, it creates a layer as shown below, consisting of a color picker and a vector mask. I'm not sure if "vector mask" is the right word, but it's the area where the vector path resides. Here is what my layers palette looks like. Perhaps...

    Array shape on a circle

Yes, exactly what @IamSam says above. Here's a breakdown of the steps: Use guidelines or a grid to identify the center of your circular path. On a new layer, draw a circular path as an additional guide to the placement of your small ellipses. On a new layer, use the Eliptical Shape tool to...

    Array shape on a circle

Yes, I just figured out how to do it. I need to leave for a few hours, so I will post something later today when I get back.

I just finished mine, so I'll post it, as well.

    Specific Face Swap #89

@Babine, I may be wrong, but I think the request is the other way around. I think he's asking for the head in image 1 to be placed onto the cartoon image 2. And then make the human head match the rest of the cartoon.

I just finished my version. Also removed the annoying blue Parking sign.

I corrected something I didn't like. Use this one.

    Specific Add the little girl

Completely different lighting between the two photos, but I tried to match as best I could.

    Interesting Effect

Agree. I see in your PSD file that you manually created each individual shard and then positioned them by hand for the explosion effect. This is how Lola Dupre does it, as well, making individual shards with scissors. I don't think there's any other way to do it.

    Interesting Effect

I can get this far, creating pointy shards by using starburst and star patterns in a mask, and then rotating the image in each successive layer. But I can't think of a good way to "explode" the starburst—like the red shards below—without manually creating dozens of individual pen paths.

    Interesting Effect

I saw this illustration in New Yorker magazine. It's by an artist named Lola Dupre and she makes these by hand using paper and scissors. I've been trying to replicate the effect in Photoshop, but I'm not there yet. I started by creating a starburst pattern, which I used to mask, enlarge and...

Here's my adjustment, making him a little shorter.

    Specific Add my husband!

I did one, as well. But I agree with @IamSam that we all needed to guess at how tall the husband is.

Specific Remove woman on the left!

Good idea with her arm. I couldn't figure out how to make it look natural.
