VOTING: Challenge 23: Spread your WIngs

MrTom: "PS. This may just be me or it may be the site but if I'm not logged in to PSG some of the images in this post didn't show. Those affected were/are: Paul MrTom IamSam ALB68 The only difference I could see in the image URL's was a 't' after the number, those with a 't' show fine, those...

Free edit request - Business Card

A few ideas assuming you like the general design: I would suggest making the email and the web address smaller and placing them both at the bottom in black. I would make the maroon color a lot lighter and make the name closer to the top in black, it would then overlap the top "swirl." That will...

" Take Me Back to Life " My new Design

OK, maybe realistic was not the right term. I will agree that it musn't look so. However, the way it rolls down her face makes it look as if she has no bones in that part of her face. Besiides, she looks very realistic, the sky looks surreal in its color, other wise realistic, and the water to...

" Take Me Back to Life " My new Design

LOL. As a woman who has had her mascara run (sometimes I cry during commercials about animal abuse), I can tell you it isn't that black, it has areas without makeup, it doesn't run down that thickly nor that far down the cheek. Anyway, the way you painted it, it needs to follow her cheekbones...

" Take Me Back to Life " My new Design

First of all, I like this very mcuha dn especially the way you have arranged the pieces. The cutout of the model is very well done. I agree with Sam. I am looking for effects of more water crossing the model's image. It would help increase the under water effect. I am also wondering about the...

    Premade Background

I really like this adjustment. Perhaps the foreground could have a bit more vibrance and contrast, and like Sam said could be a touch lighter. But you should be happy with this. I think it's very cool. Love the stones and steps and agree with gedstar. Eerie.

    Premade Background

As I understand it, premade backgrounds are offered a a BG only, but that could be wrong. I have never seen a psd offered on DA. I suppose someone could send a message to the artist asking for it. I agree with the others about the sharpness of the orb and that the lighting effect is so strong...

how do i directly select layer

You can control/command click on an object and it will give you that layer to work on. That doesn't work if you have grouped layers though. It will only take you to the group. PS: forgot to say the move tool has to be selected when you point to the object.

    Photography Starter Question.

As for the first, I think you did a great job on the top leaves in your latest rendition. Looks natural to me. Of your latest, I like the first two for composition and color. I am not sure your architectural pics are quite working yet, IMO that is and I am no great photographer. Have you...

    What do you think?

The hair is really coming along. I admire your desire to do this. I may have to give it a try. I paint some strands, but mostly I just use the specialized brushes. Manual painting clearly gives more control.
