I'll keep that in mind Tom thanks for the advice. I've been meaning to purchase a reflector or two. Any advice to give regarding size, shape and choice of color for one just starting out in this area? Also should I go for an expensive (quality brand) directly or go budget just to learn the...

That's what I thought. Well I'm guessing it's a shadow cast from the upper part of the muscle. I lit the scene using the sundown as main light and the SB-900 as a second. Dialed down to -2 and zoomed to 200mm I think. Can this be what's causing it in your opinion? Tried to make a rough...

I'm not sure I understand where you mean Tom. Is it the shadows cast from the deltoid you mean perhaps? Care to ring it in since its hard to see on my phone. I had access to a laptop yesterday but today I'm reduced to this. Sent from my GT-I9300 using tapatalk.

    Photography Starter Question.

Great shot Ink. I like the colors and detail. I get a feeling that the building leans a bit to the left side of of the pic and that kinda bugs me. Just my opinion I still like the shot. Where in the world is it?

Nope I don't mind that's why I'm here in fact. :) I like your version too, should probably start a little earlier to achive that effect "In Camera" so too speak. Oh and the little "antenna" really had to go, I can see that now. Since you played with it I might as well reveal my secret early.

    Photoshop Gurus New Look

Sorry Clare I'm vague at best as always. I just switched to dark and loved it straight away. I've had no problem with contrast, borders or the like. Only problem I had was the really blinding white. I tried iExplorer, Firefox, Chrome and Opera and couldn't reproduce your problem, Something on...

What is the best method to remove the backgrounds of the attached images.

Zoe, I think you got a really great result using whatever method you used, well done. When I use the brush technique I do as follows. 1) Make a copy of the background layer. 2) Create a new layer and fill that with a color that really sticks out. (Greenish in my example, this is just so I...

What is the best method to remove the backgrounds of the attached images.

That's a nice method too. Masking using channels (RGB) is another method to try, Could probably work with the one I did with the brush. But pen, brush and layermasks will get you far zoe.

What is the best method to remove the backgrounds of the attached images.

Hi zoe. I clumsely (3min) removed the background just using a brush set to hardness 80% and a layer mask, I would however recommend you to put down a little more time. But there's loads of diffrent methods to do achive the same result.

    Photos & Questions

Hi Tom. Well my brain might have been a bit fuzzy last night I have to admit. Got a bit late that's all. What I was referring to was the boarders between the photos. I got a feeling that they weren't evenly spaced and I couldn't easily achieve that in LR. Was hoping someone could tell me if...

Lightroom 5 and CS5 RAW Images

Okay does the above work for you? I may have been a bit loose in my explanation, so just to clarify. Open Lightroom>choose your photo/photos> right-click on any photo> choose edit in>Adobe CS5 in your case. Regarding iPhoto I wouldn't know, sorry. But I import using Lightroom import function...

Hi Dave. I use LR4 on a pc so I'm not sure this applies but I right click the image/images I want to edit in PS and choose edit in PS from the drop-down menu. In my case this opens a tiff copy in PS. Sent from my GT-I9300 using tapatalk.
