    Yes it has made an improvement, the image was a jpg, scanned by someone else, most likely at a very low resolution…..don’t suppose that helps.

    TIfF files are not allowed, it was far less than 32MB, it just comes up with an error saying this file type is not permitted, just wasn’t sure of the reason

    Have managed to repair and enhance many old photos, but this one just seems to not want to be improved, tried various adjustment layer tools etc..... all i need is pointing in the right direction please, even tried exposure but just didnt help I have attached the original and my effort so far...

    looks like I got a bit muddles, with lightroom Metadata save to file, doesnt actually write anything useable to the file, writes XMP data which is not visible in windows explorer properties, its rather an amiguous staement i think. so its back to export with the folder hierachy plug in...

Also I notice there are lots of speckles / dust on the image, but I fear removing them will loss sharpness and detail, I tried in a similar photo, then left it...
