resizing an image based on the size of another image

They are 2 separate documents IE on separate tabs. The method I used before (and it was a couple of years and a few million dead brain cells ago!) was something like select the first document, select resize and it then allowed you to select the other window (or document) as a reference. I just...

resizing an image based on the size of another image

Hi all I remember that there is a way if you have 2 images open in Photoshop to resize one of them to the exact dimensions of the other one. If I remember rightly it involved selecting one of the images and then selecting that image as the size of the other one. Clearly it isn't exactly that...

Feedback Love the new look of the forum, GJ!

I like the overall look but I will miss not being able to thank a post, only to like it. Also the images that show in-line in a post are quite small, I realise you can click on them to make them bigger but a larger preview picture would be great. I also miss not being able to see what awards...

There's a big storm coming our way

Just been watching it on the news. Unfortunately there has already been fatalities - the news showed footage of some pillock swimming in the bay in full storm conditions, I just hope he / she hasn't put anybody else at risk with his / her selfish stunt! Sincerely hope you are keeping safe...

Low resolution image to high resolution image help

Sorry I missed out a step. When you apply the Hi Pass filter change the blend mode of that layer to Hard Light! Without that it will look a mess. Cheers John

There's a big storm coming our way

I am lucky - I am on the East Cost of England and we are going to miss most of it. I have been monitoring the storm on the BBC News site. Fingers crossed that everything passes you by and that you have boring few hours!! Cheers John

Low resolution image to high resolution image help

Completely agree I still have my copies of Photoshop CS3 One-on-One Fundamentals, Beyond the basics and Advanced. Although they are old I still look at them every now and again - really informative stuff. Cheers John

Low resolution image to high resolution image help

Hi nipun Bottom line is that it is always going to be slightly disappointing enlarging a low resolution image - particularly by that much. However I had a go by doing the following. Converted the image to a smart object Went to the crop tool and typed in 2000 px X 1500 px Then I duplicated...

    Automatic perspective control

I think your biggest problem is going to be automating the process - the likelihood is that all your images will need different amounts of correction. It is very easy to do though. With the image you supplied it is simply a case of going into free transform by pressing Ctrl + T and then right...

    Automatic perspective control

Hi @JoeJ - have you got an example image that needs correcting? Cheers John

Adding a lamp to bedside table

The problem with this one is the small amount of space at the top of the image. It means that the lamp & phone look disproportionately small. But here it is any way. Cheers John

    Hunting Grounds

As always art (which is what you are producing) is subjective. All I can say is genuinely my wife just glanced as the screen while I had your composition up and she said "Ohhh I love that!" Keep plugging away - as you have shown with your colorizations you have the ability to get better and...
