So I noticed the other week that Mischief doesn't seem to be supported properly anymore. :( It still works for the moment, but I wanted to find an alternative, especially as it's the only software that works properly on my Surface. So, here are couple of early attempts in Autodesk SketchBook...

    The shephard

In addition to Eggy's comments, I would also adjust the colours of the sheep to be slightly warmer - the background image has a slightly golden light over the trees, where the sheep look kind of cool and green by comparison. Otherwise a nice choice of images and a good overall composition. It...

I did this one in Mischief - the program restrains me in terms of expression because of a smaller choice of brushes, but in Data's case I think the smoother look suits his artificial nature.

    Challenge #51: You Dingbat!

It's actually the opposite problem for me - not much of a lateral thinker so I find these things kind of hard to figure out, let alone being able to come up with one! I shall keep keep racking my brains...

And another rpg character... Learning from my face practice recently, I decided to do this one by initially referencing a photo for pose and general lighting, then changing the facial features, hair, clothes etc. It's a technique I could live with given how well this came out. :)

Thanks Fredfish! I'll have to see what I can come up with. (Is it Ghost in the Shell?)

    Guess the macro 11

A wheel hub? The rusted bolts are making me think of farm equipment, but I don't know enough about that to make a good guess!

Ok so I've been at it again with the face practice in Krita - another Star Trek one, so I guess that officially makes me some sort of massive Trekkie. :P In all seriousness, it's mostly that it's good for screenshots - I'm currently revisiting the series on Netflix and noticed how dramatic the...

I was getting sunburn just looking at that photo, so I decided to make it a bit more British.

I am always one piece of useless ephemera away from being buried. Really should have a clear out, but I'll have been distracted from that idea by shiny things in just a sec, no worries.
