    I ran it thru the legendary CSI filter set, and the Silver lancer 's plate is quite clear. I suspect that you are looking for the tag of the orange ute...that will not come out. :redface: I did turn it so others could see it, I cropped the foreground out on my working copy

    Real....Fake.....Well that is in the customer's eyes. I suspect as stated a real piece of jewelry , enhanced with PS for catalogue perfection. The correct answer is to see the real ring.......

    Quick Selection Tool

    I will add to check your tolerances I leave auto enhance un checked. Also contrast plays a role here, more contrast makes it easier for the tool to find edges. Brush size does make a difference , so play a bit. Finally...look for refine edge... it will help you selecting things, and can output...
