    Well I can only speak from experience and all the people I have seen use it love it, but personally you cant beat notepad. Im so old and sad I cant adopt these time saving features. Or maybe im just a control freak. Or just a freak lol :)

    Although I have a limited knowledge of this type of question here goes. Beacuse each program uses a different handler to call each plugin, you will need to install a plugin seperately into each of your programs so the short answer is no. BUT. As I dont know all of the programs you are using...

    Changing background color of a pdf file

    One thing I have just thought of though, if the original pdf file is an image in the pdf, the first method only effects the background of the pdf and not the contents, in this case you would need to use a image progam like photoshop to alter the background colour.

    I have to agree with chrisix, the link he provided is a much easier approach to changing the background colour of a pdf file in the whole, although photoshop can edit pdf's it is a lot of hassle compared to the other method. But im new dont take my word on anything.
