    Free Transform box moves

The way I fixed it was to rasterize the smart object. A screen show wouldn't help to show because of the smart object but only attaching the PS file which I don't think I can do because of its size. In the future I have to pay attention to see if this problem always occurs when transforming a...

    Free Transform box moves

This has happened many times. The object is in one spot and the box somehow moves to another spot when looking at the screen. Usually when I transform an object it, the object is boxed in. The object was boxed in but then somehow moved. Other times it doesn't move but the box then outlines...

    Free Transform box moves

It is on its own layer. Cntrl 0 brings the screen into view but the transform box is on the far left of the image and the object layer that I am transforming is on the far right of the image. I have no idea how and why it moved.

    Free Transform box moves

Hi - I have used the Transform function to alter the shape of an object. It worked fine. Later I needed to tweak it. I went into the Transform function and the box with the little grips was way over on the opposite side of the screen. Something similar had happened before. My small...

    making smart objects smaller

The house image is 5000x2248. The light image is 400x400. But this image is just a light on a house and needs to be small. Yes it is reduced quite a bit. I just thought since it was a smart object there would be no problem. I guess I would be best using a light picture that is a smaller size...

    making smart objects smaller

actually does the bicubic sharper matter when reducing the image by transform? Maybe the original image should have been reduced before making a smart object. Tried that - no difference.

Mine is the same bicubic sharper

    making smart objects smaller

Yes it completed but what was such a nice photo really got bad when reduced.

    making smart objects smaller

Hi I am putting an exterior light fixture on a image of a house. I saved the image of the fixture from a catalog, made a good selection, then a smart object, and dragged it on to the house. It was a nice quality but when I transform-scaled it to 90% smaller the quality was awful when zooming...

Hi, I cropped an image using the hide instead of delete option. How can I unhide the crop?

    Color matching, grayscale confusion

So I will stick with the embeded srgb instead of converting to working space of adobe1998 The 16 bit will give me more color capabilities instead of the adobe 98. Wouldn't it be better to keep it at 16 bit for everything instead of converting back to 8 bit?

    Color matching, grayscale confusion

I do all my work online but I send images to clients that may print them out. When I open a clients photo to work on, I convert the working space to Adobe1998. That's so there is more of a color range. I then save it as a jpeg (not to web) and send it to them. My own work for my blog is save...

    Color matching, grayscale confusion

I greatly appreciate your help. I just tested about a dozen swatches and they all match up. I always thought that adobe1998 had more colors than srgb so since most work was by email I used abobe 1998. When working with these colors should I still use a1998?

    Color matching, grayscale confusion

I have an Asus monitor. There are no spyder settings. I desaturated to 20% and the color looks like it should! Hope my other photos still look good. Are colors usually saturated?

    Color matching, grayscale confusion

I turned on the color proofing and set it to Standard srgb. I re-did a sample color and still saturated however.

    Color matching, grayscale confusion

That was an interesting thread - thanks. so basically it looks like I'm set up pretty good (assuming my browser is color managed) My problem is still saturation in photoshop. Do you suggest adjusting lightening my grayscale or just trying to match the color by eye. Or should I not have to do...
