    I don't know what version of PS you're using, but once you have the clone tool selected you should have a drop down box on the top tool bar. Your choises are " Current Layer-- Current & Below--All Layers" .If you're working on a mask, choose " Current & Below" to sample from the layer below the...

    Personally, I'd do it this way. But, I like black vehicles. Run your truck through Google images and you'll get all kinds of ideas.

    I found Action Central on the Wayback Machine here...http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.atncentral.com Seems it's no longer online. If you click on a year and then a crawl date you can navigate the old site. Some of the downloads still work.
