    Thanks everyone! I go to my orientation tomorrow and meet the staff and all that. Don't worry Tom, I don't expect the job to be glamorous! After being in retail for 4+ years I know how to deal with irate customers and I definitely am looking forward to this step up (in my eyes!).

    Hooray! I just got a job at a photography studio that specializes in school portraits, senior portraits, team and individual sports photos, etc. I'm so super excited (: I will be an assistant photographer and the workflow editor and I will be using a proprietary software similar to Lightroom...

    Honestly, I think the original looks better. The whole image is a lot darker now and it loses quality - it's really grainy now. The whole area around the eyes is too dark and her skin is too orange. I was going to say I'm glad you shortened the eyelashes but it looks like the bottom eyelashes...

    Extremely creative. The way you used the armor to make the bug shell is fantastic and the wooden parts to make the legs.. I love it! A lot! I could go on about how much I like this, but I think you get the point!

    Amazing work! I think the top of the horizontal bar needs a little bit of retouching on the mask. You can kind of see a wobbly line where it was cut from the background. Other than that, I think it looks fantastic.

    Well, if the HDR look is what you're going for, I think it looks fine. However, the grainy and noisy quality of the sky doesn't match the sharpness of the foreground. I'm not an expert on shadowing and the like, but the boat sticks out a bit too. Something about the color looks like it doesn't...

    Amazing job! The only thing I see that stands out is the area of the backdrop to the left of the man where it's lighter. It looks like the backdrop is going dark to light from left to right so I think that area of the backdrop would look better if it was the same darker color as the surrounding...

    Thanks guys. Very good comments (: I like what you did Tom, but I think there's a tad too much brownish overall hue for my taste. Still looks better though. I like my fair skin and I look too tan in that, hehe.

    I think I expected more hair, hehe. Was that a construction area behind you? I'm sure I will appreciate when I get older. Being 22 and being treated like I'm 17 gets a little old after a while.

    Thanks Inkz! The model is actually myself, hah! The hair area did give me some trouble. It was my first time really messing with the refine mask feature and it was a little sloppy, I will admit! I'll definitely practice more.

    I just wanted to stylize it, so the blue-ish tinge is on purpose. I thought the original lighting was pretty good (I took it near a window), but I felt like it was a bit boring. I've been doing realistic retouches so I just wanted to add a little flair to it (: Thanks!

    I decided to go for a slight cross processed look on this one. I used Lightroom and Photoshop. I removed blemishes, (most of the) glare from the glasses, the background, etc.
