    k cool, thanks guys :righton: that prob was the gradient overlay, reversed wasn't checked. :D now, one last thing... i can't get my inner glow gradient to match the Tuts

    hiyas im attempting the "Real 3D Type -- using Layer Styles" tutorial, in the first blending option image my Thumbnail Preview of Settings is different then whats thier.... what am i not doing? thanks

    ok, i've done this before i just can't remember how or what it's called, but it's an text effect that looks like a text is stamped into metal, not sticking out but stamped in. anyone remember? thanks
