    I am new to Illustrator....glad to find this forum here. I am doing a tutorial and it says I must make 2 lines and blend them with spacing at 10. I assume they mean steps. I have both lines selected, double click on the blend tool as the tut says. Nothing happens. :sad: The screenshot shows...

    I just reset the patterns and the one I made was gone. Wait a minute...it did ask if I wanted to save changed and I didn't. uh oh. Anyway, I closed PS down and reopened it. I think my pattern is gone. I'll do this again and save.

    Sorry to say, I'm still a bit confused. I have made a pattern, defined it as a pattern and named it Easter. Now I look in my pattern files and look for Easter.pat and can't find it. I have a folder called My Patterns but I don't know how to get them there. It has to load from somewhere...

    WheneverI define a pattern, I want it to be there for later use. Problem, where do I find it? I looked in my pattern folder and don't see it. Where is it or is there something else I have to do to save it before I close it out? Thanks, pslane

    Okay I found that but it's not like yours. I am using CS3, that's probably why. With mine I have to click on the little drop down box beside the shape selection box. I am going to play with that a bit, since I've been just sizing by sight. Thanks, again, pslane

    The problem was when I saw "stroke" I immediately thought of the stroke feature in the layer style window. When I did the 0 fill, that took it away completely so I went to the layer style to get my stroke back. I know that sounds confusing but at least I'm getting it done and it looks pretty...

    When I removed the fx, the whole thing disappeared, so I made a new image, new ellipse and did the mask first this time. It worked just fine like that. So I have to add any effects after I do the marquee rectangles and fill them. Thanks a lot. Solved! pslane

    Sorry, I am am an hour ahead of you, must have gone off to bed. The instructions are to make the cross selection, add a layer mask, then fill with black. All I get is white. See tutorial link and attachment. ~Thanks

    Thank you, Paul. But the size is okay, I checked. The problem is which of the choices in my screenshot is the correct one, also do I need the www to be there? pslane UPDATE: I just my image sharing site and I got it loaded.
