    The software will be on your machine, its not on the cloud. And you dont need to be constantly connected to the internet, the PS will only do a check every 90 days with a 7 day grace period.

    Im watching a photoshop video, and he tells me to go into levels for the layer mask, but doesnt tell me how to do it. Any one know how?

    Yeah tons of people are having that problem, just look at the front page of the adobe photoshop forums. Adobe is aware of it and will work on a fix when they get back from christmas vacation. No time estimate though.

    Newbie question, just double checking.

    Easier to do bulk processing of photos, but not nearly as powerful as photoshop. Its strictly meant for photos and video though, no graphic design stuff and what have ya.

    Ah okies, thanks guys. Yeah, MikeMc, thats exactly what lightroom is for, processing raw photos. Its like a beefed up camera raw program.

    Editing photo in photoshop from lightroom 4

    When in lightroom 4, selecting a photo and choosing edit in photoshop, sometimes a dialog box opens asking if I want to open original or copy with lightroom edits and sometimes it just opens in photoshop without the options. Anyone know why that is?

    Hiyas and Merry Christmas!

    Im Ben. I just wanted to say hi! Today is my first day with photoshop and have no experience at all so hope to learn a lot here. Been working with Lightroom 4 since release so hopefully some of the skills from that will transfer over. Anyways, happy to be here and glad I found this place!
