    I know its been a while since I have been on her. I came here originally because of TerryC, AKA FROG. He passed away on Monday. I know he liked this place because of the people. I know he will be missed. He was a great man.

    First attempt at abstract graphic, feedback appreciated

    I like it. The colors are good. The only thing I would fix is the text, it doesn't really fit the style of the piece. I think you are trying to protect your work with the design and placement of it as well. I would probably use it as a wallpaper if the text was smaller and not so noticeable.

    resetting your preferences may work. I had this problem a lot with cs2. cs3 and up seemed to stop the problem. second redownload your picture and try to open it again. sometimes there was a problem with that as well.

    Looks like it works better then the programs I used to use to help with that. Now will it work for different colored backgrounds. Black and white are usually pretty easy.

    grab the magic wand (I am sure other tools have the option as well but this is the one that popped into my head first) Right click and its there. I think the other tools with the magic brush have it as well. Pen tool has it as well.
