    Editing Star Trails

So, I began shooting star trails today with my Canon 550d and the kit 18-55 lens(because I don't have anything else) and I came out with this photo(RAW). Its a bit out of focus because I can't really focus in the dark that well. I think it came out ok, but I was just wondering how people editing...

Lighting in this pictures with sea of clouds

It was auto ISO, I generally changed the eV values for the HDR. Usually at knight I don't really do HDR, I just set the shutter speed really high and the f-stop really low.

Lighting in this pictures with sea of clouds

They were evenly space out, it was 5 different exposures and I used Av mode on the Camera from +2 to -2, but the lighting was so bad during that time of the day that the original pictures just looked horrible.Unfortunately, I didn't have a Neutral Density Filter with me at the time and Dusk...

Lighting in this pictures with sea of clouds

Its an edited pic, an HDR blend. Unfortunately I don't have the originals and I don't really want to post 5 images in one thread. The 5 original shots that went into this image were either too dark or too light where you couldn't see much at all. Pictures was taken near dusk but the sun was not...

Lighting in this pictures with sea of clouds

So I took this picture up on the Rockies at dusk. Unfortunately the lighting at dusk sort of sucks so its really dark and there are blotches everything. I tried contrast, using masks and such, but I haven't been able to get good results. Anyone have suggestions?

Waterfalls and lighting on bright days

So, I've been messing with this for a long time. I took a picture of a small waterfall on a bright day around noon. To get that silky smooth flow of water, you have to turn the ISO low, the F-stop high and the shutter speed to slow. But unfortunately, it still makes the water look really bright...

How to remove water / oily stains from a dSLR sensor

Sure, here the image using patch. You can do it with clone stamp as well as many have said here. But I find patch to be smoother and easier for most cases. I'm really appreciative of this discussion and I'm hoping to learn a lot more here while reading tutorials and watching videos. I want to...

How to remove water / oily stains from a dSLR sensor

I'm actually looking up USM right now. High Pass is much easier to do since you just create a duplicate layer using ctr+j, choose overlay, and then use the filter. I'm pretty new to photoshopping, I mainly used it for the auto contrast and color stuff before so its going to take me a while to...

How to remove water / oily stains from a dSLR sensor

Is ACR free or is it something in photoshop? I generally only have my camera spit out JPGs because of the file size that RAW takes up. I can't fit that many onto my memory stick when I'm out taking photos. The original image I posted actually already went through some post-processing, its an...

How to remove water / oily stains from a dSLR sensor

Unfortunately I do not have the tools you mentioned. I just have Photoshop CS3 and Photomatix. I may upgrade to the monthly subscription thing with photoshop(since I already have the flash subscription). This is the best I could do with auto contrast, color, and ,levels, plus the curves. Editing...

How to remove water / oily stains from a dSLR sensor

Hi, I think I'm getting the hang of it. Tom, how did you enhance the coloration of the photo like that afterwards? Auto contrast?

How to remove water / oily stains from a dSLR sensor

I think cs3 does have it. Is there a tutorial for this?

How to remove water / oily stains from a dSLR sensor

Clone stamp does not work because the background is not a solid color. The spots are not minute in size.

How to remove water / oily stains from a dSLR sensor

Hi, I've been photographing across Nebraska and Colorado the last few days and sleeping in the car so I have not had time to look/process my images. Unfortunately, I did not see dust get onto my sensor and now in the top left corner of many of my images, there are various black dots and I need...
