For all you dirty Mac lovers!

G5 is a lovely machine. Mine's the 2.7 dual processor model - came out before the dualcore & Intel chip ones. Fast machine. And the holes in the front got it nicknamed "the cheese grater". Liquid cooling built in, and the fans only make a noise if the G5's under load.

    VALENTINE'S DAY CARDS

It's a while ago... Lifted butterfly to new layer. Copied background layer, blurred this with Gaussian Blur, then blended it and the background with (I think) vivid light; flattened the picture. I usually keep an unflattened copy in case anyone asks me; but this one is one of the exceptions, so...

    Interesting effects in watercolour

NB - I take no credit for this one! My wife paints watercolours and sometimes produces some interesting effects. This is one of them. The "coral" effect at bottom right is created by scattering salt on the wet paint. Thought you might like to try the idea in Photoshop (or Painter?).

CS2 Problems With Rendering--Lighting Styles Went AWOL

It's certainly better than Safari for the Mac. The bookmarks drop down works like the one in Explorer.

CS2 Problems With Rendering--Lighting Styles Went AWOL

I got this to work today - opened PS and a new file and then dragged a picture (one of the "bridge" thread) into the new file window.

CS2's new Warp function. You can grab the corners and turn the pictures inside out, twist them any way you like. Here's some screen shots I've just done to show you how I created some of the shapes.

    Vanishing Point or vanishing patience

We had a server at work that kept playing up. Engineer took the front off and cleaned it out with a vacuum cleaner - so much for static electricity precautions! Then it worked fine again.
