    im no expert but it could be because its opening in the wrong color profile. if you drag the image into PS straight from the first post it opens fine with a color profile of "Adobe RGB (1998)". but if you save it to your computer then open it in PS the profile is "Simplified SRGB IEC61966-2.1"

    make sure you scan at high res usually you can tell if you can get detail out by looking at each channel separately if 1 of the channels has detail then it can be recovered but your image has none. the blue channel has the most detail but thats still not a lot
