    Photoshop UI

Photoshop is a complicated tool... necessarily so. I don't think that it is overly complex though. Everything is fairly well laid out and generally easy enough to find if you bother to take the time to learn the program. It's designed for professional use. If you wanted something that a...

    Prepping image for screen printing?

In this case, working in vector as an output source would probably be counter-productive. Since the printer is most likely inexperienced and this is an often non-technological printing method, simply prepping the image as a raster with the halftoning already built into the image will usually...

Definitely more focussed and the colors work more closely together.

CS2 colors washed out in program

Personally... no. But I don't really use hardware calibration because I've had enough luck just controlling my work environment and using Colorsync. You do have to calibrate your system regularly though... profiles are only good for a certain amount of time which relates to usage and age of...

I meant... pick a specific style and run with it. Right now you seem to have about 3 different styles going on.

How place text over an image

Fortunately these, and many many other questions can be answered by accessing the wonderfully thorough documentation and help files that come with every copy of Photoshop purchased.

    New web

It seems... disjointed. You have some simple geometric elements... and some more complex shiny metal elements... and some colorful very blue elements... maybe focusing on a specific theme would bring things together.

CS2 colors washed out in program

This is because the calibration is off in Photoshop. 1. Make sure you calibrate your monitor. At the very least run through Adobe Gamma ( a couple times if you aren't familiar with it... and make sure your monitor has been on for a good 30 minutes straight before running it). 2. Make sure you...

How place text over an image

Open the image in Photoshop. Click on the type tool and click the type tool somewhere in your document you want text. When you get the cursor, begin typing. When you're done typing, click the done checkbox. That's it. Take a look in the help files and documentation for the program and it will...

Nice shot ronmatt... I really like the horizon colors and the color detail on the foreground trees.

Fun website for photographers and Photoshop users

Be careful with this... while it's technically possible to slap a lot of old skool lenses on a DSLR body... you will often find the results to be less than what you'd get from the film camera. The reason is how the focal elements line up with the sensor in the body. Since most DSLR sensors are...

    undo crop?

Mindblast... this is one image. The image is cropped... but the thumbnail is showing the old version because it wasn't updated. There aren't multiple images to edit... the un-cropped image doesn't really exist anymore except as a tiny, usually useless thumbnail image. uh huh.

    Align Path Points?

I don't know that there is any way to do this in Photoshop. Illustrator has what are called "Smart Guides" that would sorta kinda allow you to do this... but it wouldn't be automated... you'd still have to move each point manually. What are you trying to accomplish... maybe there is an easier...

    undo crop?

What Kangaegoto is talking about (I'm 99% certain) is that when they view a certain picture while browsing through images... the preview or thumbnail image looks a certain way (the way it was originally generated). The image was probably cropped after that and saved... but, as often happens, the...

Can I load ALL photoshop brushes?

What will usually slow down considerably is the load time of Photoshop when you have too many of just about any kind of preset.

    COLORING QUESTION

To apply any effects, you're probably going to want to have each element on it's own separate layer. So the "HMG" and the "Home Management Group" should each be on a separate layer surrounded by transparency (no solid colors or anything ON the layer with it). Then you should be able to apply...
