Need to remove carpet and reflection

This is a very large file (190mb). Can you include a jpeg in your post so we can see what you're asking for and make a decision without downloading. Thanks.

Making an arcade cabinet logo more vibrant

Is this what you need? In version 2, I renamed Layer 16 'custom text' and set to screen blend mode, and I duplicated layer 14 and set it to overlay blend mode (try different blend modes and try inverting the layer with different blend modes for other effects and colours). In version 1, I...

The destination image is very poor quality, but here's what I've come up with.

    Challenge #50: At The Beach

Newbie still exploring, and found this thread, so here's my effort  Amazing to see such great work.

    Newbie

I have had a go and come up with this: Here's what I did. Filled a blank layer with random coloured brush strokes and blurred. Duplicated and set copy to multiply. Above that, added hue/sat layer in screen blend mode and boosted saturation and lightness. Grouped together and turned off. I...

Resolution defaults in Adobe Camera Raw

Thanks for the reply. I'm not convinced about the metadata point as my camera is set to shoot at 300ppi, but my raw files still open at 240 in ACR (in fact everything opens at 240). I've set it back to 300 again and I'll watch to see when it changes back and generally keep an eye on things.

Resolution defaults in Adobe Camera Raw

Thanks Colleague. I tried that, and it was OK for a while but then went back to 240 - and I didn't notice. I will have to make sure I keep an eye on it.

    Can anyone combine these photos?

My try. Had trouble matching the colours; the quality of the second pic isn't very high.

    Sorry for rule breaking

Sorry admins, I have read the rules and made an innocent error in replying to a topic this morning. I thought I was in the free board.

Resolution defaults in Adobe Camera Raw

I'm using PS CS5. When I open image files via ACR, PS defaults the resolution to 240DPI. Is there a way to change this to default to 300DPI? I know about resolution and size but this has recently caused an issue with a client's picture. I sent my client a finished PSD at 240DPI, and, not...

Night Mode mistake - Can someone change back to normal colors.

Another option is to go for artistic effect... In that respect, there are lots of possibilities. Here's a watercolour technique that I learned recently.

Night Mode mistake - Can someone change back to normal colors.

You can recover the colours in the areas that are not blown out but as John says, there's no way to recover the data that is clipped. In this example, I reduced the exposure by the maximum amount in raw processing software (ACR) and adjusted saturation.

    Photo shop request.

My effort. Removed dust and spots and both hands; adjusted white balance and contrast, cropped and resized to 10x8 @300dpi and sharpened.

    Resizing

When you upscale images as advised above, Photoshop creates new pixels estimating their values based on neighbouring pixels. Adobe recommends upscaling by no more than 10%, otherwise you run the risk of losing clarity. To go A6 to A5 you'll be adding, I guess, around 40% of additional pixels...

    Fix background

I don't think there's a particularly quick way... One way or another you'll have to paint in the backgrounds masking around the heads. You could try selecting each panel by 'quick selection' tool, 'colour range' selection, 'magnetic lasso' tool, refining the selection around the heads. With the...

HELP with Creating a Mock Image on a tapered mug!

Hi, I've had a go. As you say, it's tricky because you need to wrap around an object with an ever decreasing view. I tried a couple of times to warp and this was the best I came up with. In terms of replacing the image, if you place it in a group and have your layer mask group's folder instead...
