    How to blend layers to simulate real 'light'?

    I have two layers. One is completely red (r255,g0,b0). The other layer is completely green (r0,g255,b0). How can I make it so that if I lower the opacity of the green layer (which is above the red layer), to 50% that the result is completely yellow (r255,g255,b0)? I've tried all the blending...

    How to liquify a background based on another (B/W) layer?

    Lets say I had a black and white layer with circles drawn to represent droplets of water, and I want to be able to move it, add to it, etc. How can I make it liquify the background underneath based on that droplet layer?

    How to do this in photoshop? (color correction)

    I found this image on Wikipedia under 'Image Enhancement' I wonder what method (or methods?) were used to do this? I have tried saturation, vibrance, contrast, levels, but no matter what I try, I just can't get it as good as they did. For example, their (white) petals look much better...
