    Yes I think the text needs some more work especially if its a book on Photoshop you want to show what Photoshop can really do. Maybe try the blending options or layer masking with some image underneath? maybe the green and blue banners could work better with a gradient or slight pattern on them...

    How do you increase image resolution?

    It's a nice easy step but there are things to look out for. Basically to simply change the image resolution say from 72dpi (best for web images) to 300dpi (for print) Open your image and go to Image > Image Size and under Document Size you will see Resolution, Simply change this to 300 However...
