    How to automate border cutting?

try if this fits your needs... open desired images file-automate-crop and straighten photos you will get copies of your photos, hopefully automatically cropped way you wanted. alternatively, you may do the action involving canvas size, but just in case images are at least same proportion.

    transparency help!

if you have to use previously made jpg logo try to vectorize it, or better ask for it in vector format. when exporting any type of logotip from the illustrator export it in .eps format. it will preserve transparency (if it was made transparent) and moreover preserve its scale-ability.

    How to automate border cutting?

100 photos is not that much at all and will be done manually way before you figure out how to automate it. if position of the boxes is not the same i don't belive it is possible to automate at all. good luck and enjoy practice. if the box selection is the same on all, you may try to save - load...

    Another colorize

coloring is just fine, what should be better done is the softness of the image is away too far.. don't blur it, clone stamp it. as well i would do some burn-dodge on the desaturated image before coloring to give to the face some roundness.

Is there any way to recover photos that you've lost?

there's search function in windows. type .jpg in the search box it will list all of the photos on your pc if the file is still there. if deleted there is freeware called Recuva that might be of help, even i'm not so sure if the files have been overwritten.

how do i get this effect to my images?

look like filter being used to me. you may try it just in ps adding saturation and contrast, combined with some hdr sharpening. use history brush to retrieve the parts you don't want to be edited, like the grass in the front.

    Clipping????

correct. from my practice: images taken by the modern cameras are in 4:3 proportion, most of the professional cameras do it in 3:2 called golden ratio or golden cut. none of these is fully compatible wit the standard paper sizes that are different proportioned. so what you may do is to clip out...

    Edges not completely filled

you may be having some kind of feathering the selection turned on in case you have made selection of the button to be filled yourself. second case is that the button was made with that white ring around it.

    My frist try.

nice colors, like the moderate shadow-highlight usage in order to soften the light (that is away too hard). Only thing you may think of is that new background is way to sharp, even in the distance, i would gradiently blur it so you'll get realistic lens effect. In general, when editing photos in...
