    3D Style Logo | No 3D Programs Used

    These are pretty cool Inkz. I'd like to know what methods you used to create them. As for the green logo you've added the perspective seems a bit off. The bottom left part especially, it should be larger than the top left as long as the thickness of the logo is meant to be consistent.

    What method did you already try? The way I would do it is use the pen tool to outline the phone, create a selection then go to Image - Adjustments - Desaturate. This will probably turn it to a mid gray. You can always use levels to make it darker if you wish. Although what's wrong with a pink...

    The lasso does not create vectors. The pen tool however will allow you to do so.

    How good are you with the pen tool? I know there are some vector based programs that could perhaps upscale this automatically but within Ps you'd need to trace the whole image first (basically recreating it).

    Looking good. Just be aware of where the original light source is coming from in the photograph. You've added a highlight on the right side however the light source is actually coming from the center left. It's an easy fix but it makes a big difference.

    Paul, go to Tools - Extensions, have a look there to see if anything suspicious is running and disable it if so. Perhaps something you installed recently added an extension?

    Basically just use a combination of bevel/embossing and inner glow for the layer styles. I've got to go shoot off right now but if you need further information I can post it later.

    What about something like this? Wasn't happy leaving it the way it was, so I added reflection, shadow and color tweaks to make it look more 'realistic'. Thanks for the task! I haven't really done something like this before, so it was new to me and enjoyable :)

    For the task you are doing jpeg would be your best option. Also don't set the quality of the image above 10 (setting it to 11 or 12 won't give you any further image quality, but will greatly increase the file size). So what file size was it? Perhaps you have a really slow connection :) Edit...

    So what is the actual file size? You can do it that was, but it's a bit long winded, I'd recommend resizing it using the method I mentioned above. Edit: After reading that back I realized that was an unnecessary step. Just do File - Save to web, then adjust the resolution on there.

    It is possible but it will take you much more work than just using a different image. I did this in a couple minutes so it's pretty rough but it can be done. You'll need to warp the hell out of it basically to try and get it at the correct angle.
