How is this done? Not able to figure out.

You should really upload the actual model that you want work on. This can be achieved but to get the maximum amount of responses I would suggest you upload it immediately.

Photoshop is better with Windows XP or Windows 7 if Ram is only 2GB ?

I wouldn't just go out and buy a good Graphics card and expect to get a better result. Your system will only run as fast as the slowest component. You'll probably need to upgrade your motherboard to notice any improvement.

    Wiz khalifa

Not bad, but here are my suggestions... I'm guessing he's sitting on top of a building? I'd probably get rid of the wood behind him as it looks out of place. Also the lighting needs a slight improvement. You should add shadow to him and the chair (notice the direction and quality of the light...

    Octahedron

Ah you're using 3d objects. The method I mentioned would have worked if the shape was front on (the bottom being a straight line). I can see the dimensions of the bottom sides and angels are off so they are not aligning properly. Sorry I can't be of any help, but I'm not very familiar with 3d...

Photoshop is better with Windows XP or Windows 7 if Ram is only 2GB ?

If you've been managing with your current setup and are happy with the performance. I wouldn't change anything. If you install Windows 7 (like everyone said above) you'll probably run into issues. How old is your current setup and what are your exact specs? It seems surprising that you can't add...

    Playing with Photoshop Touch (Android)...

I'm impressed. I know how hard Ps Touch is to use with just a finger than nothing else. I bought it and made something a while ago and it turned out terrible, so I haven't picked it up since.

Haha, yeah we have been going around in circles then. I explained that already here. But like I said you can use Photoshop to create vectors, saying things to the contrary is simply incorrect. hawkeye it was a pleasure debating you anyway :)

    Help recreating image please

You changed it from a lower resolution to a much higher one? If you did you would get these results. The circle on the left is a vector layer (shape) and the right is a bitmap layer 100x100 Upscaled to 10,000

The results will be identical, until you change the canvas size. I'm sorry but saying Photoshop does not use vectors in any way (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics) is just not correct. It does and I'm not sure how else to explain my point.

How much experience do you have with Ps? Also what kind of stuff have you been recently taught in class?

School project huh? Something doesn't sound quite right. Apart from that, I'm not sure if anyone would be willing to do your own homework for you. Although I'd be happy to help you out if you're trying this yourself with Photoshop.

How to add a backgorund to a semi transparent icon (limited to the icon shape only)

Re: How to add a backgorund to a semi transparent icon (limited to the icon shape onl Okay. Then you need to copy the background layer (not the phone) and put that on the very bottom. Hold ctrl/cmd and click on the icon of the phone layer (this will create a selection of the phone), select the...

How to add a backgorund to a semi transparent icon (limited to the icon shape only)

Re: How to add a backgorund to a semi transparent icon (limited to the icon shape onl Have the phone on the bottom layer then hold alt and click between the layers. This will mask the top layer to the bottom.

I've read it but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. How can he say paths are not vectors, but then also say it allows you to upscale them without loss of quality?

That's a beach? Where was that, it looks pretty huge. I also like the icicles made out of cola.

I'm confused. I do understand the difference, so are we arguing the same point? *brain explodes*

    Help recreating image please

Actually changing the resolution demonstrates my point. The reason it looks sharper is because Photoshop gets the path (which is vector based) and plots those points onto the bitmap image. What you are seeing on the screen is not a vector image, but the paths that are created within Photoshop...
