    That's not exactly true. Photoshop will scale a vector based on the amount of pixels on the canvas. If you increase the canvas size at any point, this will update. So as long as you are outputting the correct resolution, it won't make a difference.

    It's good, but not perfect. I would suggest that you add a shadow on the ground (notice the shadow of the lion and try to imitate that). Also the exposure of the guy is a bit off. If you look at the white shirt and then the white flower on the tree hopefully you'll understand what I'm talking...

    Make sure View - Snap is checked and View - Snap to - Layers is checked also. Just make sure they are on separate layers and you shouldn't have any problems.
