    Eric - Question about DeepPaint

I tried to ask this question under your post telling us this is now free but it was a mod only thread. Anyway, I logged onto their site but it did not tell me much about the software. What make this different than just setting up the brush in PS to paint with different colors? Thanks

transfer plugins from cs to cs2

Wow, thanks sPECtra. I never thought about having two of the native PS plug-ins. Why is boydphoto having trouble just dragging individual plug-ins into his folder then? That is the way I originally installed mine. None of them were on a CD - they all were paid for and downloaded from the net. I...

transfer plugins from cs to cs2

Open up your C drive>Program files>Adobe>Photoshop CS>Plug-ins. You can either drag them over to the CS2 Plug-in folder individually or, if your sure you will never use PSCS again, just take the whole Plug-in folder over to CS2 and replace it with the one that's there.

Attempt at making a pic by hand

Wow. VERY nice, binsurf. That really looks great. :righton: By the way, has anyone mentioned making it bigger with more detail yet? :D

Um, uh, um original art? Well, totally original...

LOL That artist sure put in a LOT of time on that site. I didn't go through them all but enough to see how much work (and imagination) he/she had.

    3D fruit bowl

Wow. Very nice, D. Only suggestion would be to make the texture on the oranges smaller but other than that, two thumbs up, buddy. :righton: :righton:

Spider who wants to be an Ant

Looks like an ant to me, too, but the compound eyes are those of a spider. Hmmm . . . .\:]

Lens five times thinner than paper

Wow. Imagine all the possibilities for that outside of medical science.

    Corel Knockout

I've only used mine as a plug-in in PS, Sark, so can't add any opinions on the difference between the two versions. Bottom line is you'll love it.

    Photoshop plug-ins

Thanks, Mark. I guess I need to read more carefully. I knew it was for enlarging but, without reading more closely, though it accomplished that by superior sharpening. Back to the drawing boards on sharpening. From everything I've read, the reviews say the new CS2 Smart Sharpen is much better...

    Yes, it is...

Damn, Gary. That's some mighty fine animation you got there son. Two thumbs up, buddy. :righton: :righton:

    Photoshop plug-ins

Thanks for the additional images, Welles. Even with the new information, however, I still like the GF better. I don't see the artifacts and random pixels that you see. That does not make either of us wrong or right, just a difference in how we each see things. I will try both those as you...

    Corel Knockout

Sark. As you've already made up your mind to get V.2 I'll spare you the sales pitch. ;) You will love KO2. That's all I use.

    Photoshop plug-ins

Am I missing something here? Why are you guys saying that PhotoZoom is your plug-in choice for sharpening when, to me anyway, it looks like Genuine Fractals is the clear winner. The other two look out of focus compared to GF. What's up?

    Fun with knock-outs

Thanks, Dub. You just made my day, buddy..............................Unfortunately, it's not my work. I wish I had thought of that. I just saw it and thought you folks might enjoy something a little different, too. If you'll send me $20 bucks for lessons I'll try and get better at this...

    A Case for PNG

UPDATE: Well, I must admit, I confused now (nothing new there). I downloaded the SuperPNG plug-in and got it exchanged with Adobe's PS PNG plug-in. No problem. I then downloaded the PNGQuant and it says to put it in the Windows C:/System 32 folder. I got as far as the Sys. 32 folder but can't...
