    first paying job

You will find over the next 3 years, your knowledge will expand hugely if you keep learning. 11 months - you're still a beginner in PS terms. You will find that at about the 3rd year, you really begin to have a deep understanding of the program, depending upon your rate of learning. Keep going...

Internet Cafe | App Icon Concept

The design is solid, except for the shadow from the cup. Its bending over the edge of the table, which is unnatural. I would try playing with the tints and shades, see if you can bring up the contrast. Right now the apart from the white, the elements are blending into one another a little too...

Can someone help me to Photoshop this photo?

Yes, because its not your image. So transparent.

I agree with Paul. The definition of a professional is a person whose skills have reached a certified and expected standard within his/her industry. Professional is also an attitude and a manner in which you conduct yourself with clients. I'll say this - most of the industry standard practices...

The first edit looks good, second edit looks like they're floating just above the grassline. Go with the first. Just curious egosbar, how long have you been into PS?

Can someone help me to Photoshop this photo?

Why don't you simply hold up a piece of paper? I help admin a dating site, and people need to verify their identity (by holding a piece of paper with their user name and the site name written on the paper) in order to communicate. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but this seems like a way to work...

    PS For Forensics

Even the cops don't possess technology like they have in CSI. Advanced tech like that would be found in use in the military and CIA.

Interesting. I'll try it out. Cheers.

    What is wrong about TEACHING?

I think the issue is people who DON'T want to learn, but simply have it all done for them. They aren't interested in discovering for themselves with a few prompting tips. Its those types who I ignore because they are a waste of time, and will just come back wanting more free work, while failing...

    PS For Forensics

In the last few months I've become interested in forensic digital imaging. I got this ebook called Photoshop CS3 for Forensic Professionals. Sure, the version is old, but the principals are still valid for CS6. Really interesting info on how to clean up images, and a look at PS from quite a...

    What is wrong about TEACHING?

Completely agree, Paul. I'm half way between Gen X and Gen Y (32), and I see the lack of perseverance getting worse as time goes by. Its not a matter of "In my day..." type thinking, people ARE wanting more in return for less effort. Its not an attractive quality.

Mod PG rated edit... I think iDad got it... lol

    What is wrong about TEACHING?

Going to have to agree with JohnD here. There are too many requests for people here to just do things on demand. Sure, if you can't get access to a copy of PS (for financial or others reasons) I guess thats fair enough, but with the thousands of free tutorials out there, anyone who knows how to...

    Large Eye Candy Textures

Nope. I just used the filter because its quick, and I don't have time to make textures manually for free.

    Photo Restoration Help

Since all the detail has been totally destroyed on the right (his right) side of the face, the best you can hope for it to copy the left side to the right, and hand paint it so it looks natural in relation to the light source. Unless you are a gifted digital painter, and have another image of...

    Large Eye Candy Textures

Okay, these are just base texures generated in Eye Candy. No work done to them, so they don't look realistic, but they could with some work. They are also seamless textures. Stats: Format: TIFF Pixel dimensions: 2000 x 2000 px Colour space: Adobe RGB (1998) PPI: 300 (in case you wish to...

    Lightning From Scratch

Agreed. His style is very approachable, especially for beginners who might feel intimidated by certain tasks. Deke makes you feel welcome. You would be hard pressed to find an educator who is as well versed as Deke in a wide variety of PS techniques, and is as easy to watch/listen to.
