    Filter perspectives?

So I can make a drop shadow or motion trail on its own layer? Doesn't it have to have lettering to come off of...?

Is it possible to do a perspective or distort/skew effect on just a motion trail or drop shadow without effecting the primary letters?

    edit/layers palette difference

Basically the edit->fill allows me to move the wall like I've shown but the palette tool that can give the same wall (above the clock part of the task bar and shown with a "F" in a circle) won't allow a reshape of the wall

    edit/layers palette difference

I just tried to do a perspective effect on a brick wall and it was only able to be done if I used the edit -> fill selection. I tried using the layers palette "create new fill or adjustment layer" selection but the perspective wouldn't work until the edit - fill was used. Aren't these two things...

    erase to reveal?

That picture was actually a quick screen capture from a news broadcast. I found a way to get my result was to get another photo of the same reporter and take just the face area. Putting the cropped face on a blank background and the photo from above on top of the cropped face allows me to erase...

    erase to reveal?

Is there any way to make it so that I can erase the area to the right of the arrow while keeping what is behind that area untouched? Such as the gray area never existed and all that is there is the complete face/photo and the orange-color strip

    Photoshop tools "guide"?

I have photoshop 7 but folks know there are versions newer than the one I have. Is there a guide that explains what is able to be done with each version? I hear there's a "refine edge" tool in newer versions but I don't know if that can be used at all in version 7 or earlier.

    Combining layers without "merge" choice

I watched a video where a guy had several layers open and he says to combine the layers select the first (bottom) layer and the last (top) layer while pressing shift. I tried this but nothing happened and I was thinking maybe that's a newer version option, eh? Is there a way to combine several...

    unsave an image?

Is there some sneaky backdoor trick to unflatten and unsave an image after it's been saved, flattened and the program closed? I'm guessing the answer is NO WAY! but I just wanted to check (I use photoshop 7)

    red/green transformation box

Does the transformation box offer a good and bad choice? The pic below shows the box with red and green sections. Is that just an odd thing or is that there for a reason? Something like "if it's red you shouldn't move it and if it's green you can move it" kind of thing.

    Extract versus marquee tool

Is there any advantage to using extract over marquee tool and copy when it comes to getting specific parts of a photo? Both give the ability of erasing excess things but is there a reason to use one over the other?
