    Would anyone be able to suggest a method by first using a conversion to the Lab colorspace then using the Pantone colors to dial in the color required. It seems that converting an image to Lab allows more accurate possibilities. Thanks in advance for any input.

    Thanks Tom Mann for your useful suggestions but I am already within PS having changed a colour in a pendant and would like to save out the file to 500x500 (original 4.500x3000).

    After "dropping" them in PS I have to choose "Enter/Return" to accept the image and pass on to the next one. I would like to be able to adjust the area from where the image will be cropped (top/bottom).

    Yes, that works fine and I can get the blue that I require but I was rather hoping that I could replace my original colour with a predefined Pantone one without the fiddling.     I am struggling a bit as I cannot get the nice royal blue colour (Pantone 072C). I have "played with the levels" but to no avail. I have also changed my base image to a green one.

    Many thanks. One strange is that when I duplicate the Photo Filter layer only certain Panatone colours seem to be accepted. My pendant just will not change into 281C (dark blue). I have narrowed it down to the question of checking or not the "preserve luminosity" box.

    That solution looks pretty good. Here is the pendant in question. I need to make it dark blue, red green, black and silver and have the Panatone references for the shades that I need - except the black and silver.
