    I perosnally think you have reduced the saturation a bit too much , you need to as a little brightness to the face masks , try fethering when the masks are switched off dont over fether ( roughly 7-11 if you are decent with ur masks) this images is not very good quality also , try practising on...

    Hey JgraphNet , I had tried to do this in after effects CS 5.5 but I cant get optical flares addon to work with 5.5 I did have it working with CS4 and then I couldnt get the flare to work with the CC sphere effects :S

    Like ibclares , but with a drop shadow instead of an inner shadow , is this what you mean?

    well they are two different types of program , vegas if for producing movies/clips like cutting etc, after effects is for changing details etc and adding special effects , its quite complex and very fun to use, its just like photoshop but for video/movie :)

    After Effects is like photoshop but for video editing , it is in some ways more advanced, the masking/feathering system is for some reason easier when you are dealing with alot of adjustments and its slightly easier to go back and change what you have done. Great program. :)

    Finished Colour Restoration

    So after alot of adjustments I have this black and white picture restored to colour hope you like it ! Might come up with a tutorial on how I did this in a few days :P
