    Phun with Photoshop

:bustagut: Well, "Brother Dave" looks great in this! I love how you also adjusted the colors and gave him that "been in the sun" skintone to match with the sand, etc. -- the feel of the warm sunny beach comes through really well. The reflected light from the white sheet used in the previous...

    Phun with Photoshop

Great examples, and skills, Gare! Really, "invisible" work on those feet -- I never would have guessed he had shoes on originally, your retouches blend so very well! :righton: B7

    for you deep thinkers

B7 I enjoy listening to other's ideas about such topics. I guess it's the sharing of the ideas, the interchange itself, perhaps more often than whether or not any "solution" is arrived at that inspires me. Finding "answers" to questions is useful to a certain point, practical and applicable...

    for you deep thinkers

A lot of things come to mind regarding astrophysics, cosmology, religions/God....the questions, the "answers" offered.... I get stuck on the old question that if there's one all powerful God, then how did that entity get "created." By what means???? Just answer that and then there's...

    blue eve..

:D That's a cool view -- I like the way the sky colors are reflected in the window and the arch shape against the sharp wall/roofline, the combination of everything is really interesting! Nice work! :righton:

:D Hey, I miss not having a Costco in this area -- had a great one when I lived in Port Angeles/Sequim area -- they do usually have great prices on just about everything. The digicams and digital SLRs are just getting better and better by the day though, Sean, so even if you wait awhile yet...

    Post Your Latest Pictures !

:D Thanks Sean! The oranges and grapefruits were some I really had on a counter top and got inspired one day with a felt tip marker to umm "embelish" and so creating some edible art with my little digicam. 8D I thought the camera captured the funny fruits (souls? [confused] ) pretty well so...

Conspicuously absent at bookstores this Friday

:bustagut: :bustagut: :bustagut: :righton: Wow! Gare you could certainly give them all a run for the $$$$$$ with this one! What a comedy crew. I love the bookcover image you created, terrific written spoof too! The story page has me hooked -- wouldn't mind reading more of these...

    Illustrator Daisy digipic to Vectors

:bustagut: :D Lasa I'm in the same boat! Yep, I think that new Live Trace feature alone could be worth the cost....after looking around I find there's other apps that claim to be able to do such detail...but they are even MORE expensive. So, I think I'll put Ill CS2 on my wish...

    Illustrator Daisy digipic to Vectors

:righton: :} :} Wow Gare, Lasa and Welles! Those are great! And depending on what sort of look one needs or prefers for the output I'd have to say also that Ill CS2's detail accuracy is just amazing, truly there have been some real improvements!!! Wish it didn't cost nearly $500 :\...

    Illustrator Daisy digipic to Vectors

:D Yeah, Welles, in Ill CS2 it looks like the new vectorizer feature works very nicely. All these various apps have differing ways and choices of what they pick out in colors/shapes and vectorize. Vector Eye tries for a simplified way and excludes some details in favor of varying looks. I...

    Illustrator Daisy digipic to Vectors

Hi Lasa -- The Adobe Streamline works pretty well, I'd never run across it, but that's good that they've decided to put it in with Illustrator CS. I still like the results of Vector Eye and Sodipodi better....and you can't beat the price considering Vector Eye right now is around half what...

    Illustrator Daisy digipic to Vectors

Thanks for giving this a look Lasa. But my purpose with the photo I took was to convert it to a vector drawing, not a raster version which I could have done. I wanted a vector drawing of the image. But I do not have Illustrator, only Xara X1 for vector work. I had heard there were some other...

African Daisy -- from digi pic to vectors

:D Thanks Ric! Yeah, this flower gives me a "happy" feel, I love it's colors. I explain a bit of how I vectorized it over in Gare's Application Conversion forum if that interests ya too. 8D
