    That's what I was thinking you'ld use. But intended to let the op know of the effect and what its called... After re-reading the op's posts, I realize he might intend to have only the bottom part of the image showing and top faded to white like what he created.... If that's the case...

    As mentioned by MrTom, there are other ways... Why not try a vignette effect?.... Add a new layer filled with white under the image layer. Select the image layer and using the rectangular marquee tool, create a selection as shown. Press Shift+F6 to feather the selection...

    3D Texture Compositing Tool

    I see what you mean.... the gizmo at the far left of the car's dome.... it's like sitting on top of the hood when it should have been partly obscured by the hood.

    I like the background on this one. Has a bokeh-ish feel to it. And your brush work on the feather details are good. That toon beak sort of reminds me of a prehistoric flightless bird.....

    I feel the brick finish should be lightened a bit. That's what most renderers, 3d or manual drawing would do. And for the designer/architect to finish the garage door. It's too glaringly fake. Maybe having it up and open would hide the obvious..... @Stoyan Dimitrov ... I can also...
