    Small photo, large res. ?

I have a photo that I copied from an Power Point Presentation which looked great on Power Point but when I have it in PS I noticed that the image size is just 2.507x1.028 with a res. of 576. Pixel Dimensions are 2.45M I would like to print out a larger version of this photo but I'm not having...

    Removing dust etc.

Ok I'll try it again sorry about this. I've changed it to 98 KB but when I go to Browse to find the file on my desktop it shows it still to be 104 KB. I'm using OS X and Browse brings up the Sidebar>Desktop>then the file at that point it shows a thumbnail pic and the information below it. That's...

    Removing dust etc.

I don't understand why it is showing up as that size. When I go to Photoshop> Image>Image Size it tells me it is 100.1K pixels. Is there something I'm not doing right, is there another way to tell the size of the file.

    Removing dust etc.

Lasa I'm not sure you will be able to see much after I've reduced it to the size allowed for attachments but I'll try. The attachment is the original before anything has been done to it, not sure just which you want to see. I'm afraid I can't show the waffle pattern as it only shows up after...

    Removing dust etc.

Thanks Welles I will check it out and run my picture through the process again. Hopefully this will solve my problem although I didn't have any trouble getting rid of the dust and scratches etc. with the other tutorial, it was the waffle pattern coming back after printing that was the problem.

    Removing dust etc.

I'm working on a black and white picture that has a lot of dust specks and what looks like a faint waffle looking pattern on it. I tried a tutorial called History Brush for Dust and Scratches by: down2earth2. I've used it a few times before and it works great but on this particular occasion it...

    Black and White photo restoration

Hi all, I've been scouring the tutorials for something that deals with darkening a portion of a photo. What I have is a photo of a classroom with pupils seated and teachers standing against a large windows on one side of the room. The photo was taken pointing towards the windows so that the...

    Almost a dumb question

Thanks Ronmatt, it didn't quite work the way you described but I got the chart to click off. When i tried the your method it worked ok but I accidentally hit the enter key first and the chart went away so I tried just hitting the enter key without clicking any key on the mouse and it still...

    Almost a dumb question

There is probably some easy solution for this but it escapes me. Let's say I choose the Eraser tool and then right click to bring up the sizing chart. I then choose the size of the eraser I want and now I want to get rid of the chart. Is there a way to do this without having to go over to the...

    Copying a layered picture

Is it possible to copy or crop a portion of a layered picture and still retain the layers ? If I copy merged I lose the layers and if I try to copy normally I only seem to copy one of the layers.
