    Check how much RAM u are using under the preferences; just make it a higher number or if u maxed out I would buy new and more RAM

    Just sometimes Programs goof up, possibly an unexpected shutdown or an overload of processes, or just does lol; Life isn't perfect , Too bad we cant reset that though.

    Well, Are u viewing in full screen(Press F a few times )? or do u have the document window maximized? or Are u sure its CS3? because CS4 automatically covers the working area unless u change it

    its caused by low memory or RAM for PS to use, I would recommend to either zoom out the image ( sometimes this works) or simply increase the RAM space higher if you can.

    I would use Burn/Dodge with a low hardness brush for "colour" it, heres some images stock.xchng - Blueberries on Cottage Cheese (stock photo by blary54) stock.xchng - Cream Scones (stock photo by woodsy) and its a simple Lens Blur
