    Plug-in advise

Lee, besides filters, you might want to check out some of the PS Action sites, such as ActionFX. It can be cheaper, especially if you're looking for one special effect, and many are free. Another bonus: By using actions and watching what's going on, and tweaking them, you can learn a lot.

    Mercator Effects tutorial

How'd I miss that? I did that tute! The only thing I can think of is that I've done a lot of tutes where one or more steps were left out, or just wrong (ONLY time I've seen this in Mark's :D) So, I just think "he must've meant this" and just go on, and forget about it.

    Revamping an Image

Or, if you have either FreeHand or Illustrator, import the logo into that and trace it, making it a vector. You'll definitely have to tweak it if you use auto tracing, but once you get the outlines, you can resize and recolor at will.

    Wacom Tablet

pdog, it depends on what you normally do, as far as tablet size is concerned. I have a little Graphite and I'm as happy as a pig in...well, you know :) But here's something from Wacom that MAY help: http://www.wacom.com/tabletwizard/index.cfm Take that as a starting point, only...

    Another request for help/suggestions

Hmmm...you want the room darkened, and at the same time have the lamp light? It'll be easier to do (and save file size) to have the lamp lightend and have the room at the same ambience. Lemme work on this and I'll show you what I mean. Since you have an image map, you have a choice: putting...

how to create bullets in PS 7?

I believe you can create text bullets in PS. I don't know what it is in Windows (Some combination of Alt + 4 numbers). On the Mac, it's Opt-8.

    Importing Psp styles to Illustrator....

No, you can't import styles from PS to Illustrator. They're raster based, and Illustrator is a vector app. You can copy and paste paths between the two programs, and layers will follow, too. Brushes, being also raster-based, can't import (as brushes; naturally you can import a file that's been...

Unique plugin - Panopticum Lens Pro

Erik, if I were you, I'd resubmit the email as a forward. There's a chance they haven't gotten it. (Or like me, in a mad quest to obliterate spam, deleted something important by mistake...been there, done that) Of course, they SHOULD set up rules in their email program to divert things to...

    Layers again

You're not a dummy at all, Hanarky :) And welcome to the forums! Yes, you can fill a selection, or an entire layer, with either the foreground color (Opt/Alt-delete) or the background color (Cmd/Cntrl-delete). If you want to fill something that's not selected, be sure to click on Lock...

    Copy a layer fast

Wait, I'll have to disobey your sig this time and say "no, not directly." B7 The easiest way to sort of do it is to link all layers you want to trash, go to the arrow on the right of the layer and choose "Make layer set from linked." Then trash the set. To move, transform, etc. multiple...

    Mac Question

::laughing:: No, Erik, I didn't take it as a criticism of the Mac. I was only trying to correct what I thought was a misperception, but I see what you mean now.

Unique plugin - Panopticum Lens Pro

Erik, I assume you've resubmitted the email? Possibly send them a link to this thread? I doubt if they want bad publicity. Let's just hope it's a "stuff happens" glitch in their normal service/support routine. Looks like a good set of filters.
