Need to batch.....Can it be done?

The best way to do this is with actions. These are exactly what you are talking about, regular commands that are repetitive in nature. To record an action, open your document. Then go to your actions palette by going to Window-->Actions. Then hit the arrow button on the top right of the actions...

    deleting preferences

As photoshop boots up, hit ctrl+shift+alt, or go to your application data folder and delete prefs.psp. Photoshop will automatically generate a new file. This will not delete your actions, styles, etc etc....hope this helps...

    "Flyout Menus" Problem

Sometimes wackiness like this has to do with a corrupted preferences file. You can get rid of it by holding down ctrl+shift+alt, while photoshop is booting up, then saying yes to the subsequent dialogue box(you won't lose your styles, actions, etc, but youll have to re-load them on your palette)...

How do I do this to the image:

I have no clue how to achieve that effect. It looks like it might be a 3rd party plugin or from another piece of software.....or, it was all manually done, which as you know, would be a pain. Sorry I couldn't be of assistance but i can't waste anymore time at work right now [shhh] ;)

    Drawing tablets

I would also like to know about tablets, and what is worth spending $ on. Is there really a big difference between 512 and 1024 levels of pressure? What surface area is the most sufficient? I've heard that they take some time to get used to, and it wont make you throw out your mouse or anything...

How do I do this to the image:

Well to do a watercolor, there is a filter under the artistic filters. I personally think that Photoshop is kind of extreme with this filter so I usually follow it up by an Edit-->Fade command(which is what I didi in the middle) another filter to try is "underpainting" which will give a textured...

Type selection trick and quick merging.

If anyone gets confused on this keystroke(its action is called "stamp linked layers"), it is likely this has happened: the keystroke is described as "Merge all layers to active layer", active layer means that you must have it selected before this lifesaving keystroke that Mr. Bender has awoken...

    Might Not Belong here (question)

First, make sure that Photoshop has recognized your actions. If youve just put them in the actions folder youll need to exit Photoshop and re-enter. Then from there, go to your actions pallette, then make sure you dont have a folder selected(an action should be indented from a folder) and hit...

    Is there a...

Oh yeah, to make the effect more realistic(or just give it a more genuine effect, you should add some noise to it. to do this: 1. set the pattern overlay to a layer(right click the little f and choose create layer) 2. (to keep your effects on independent layers) stick a new layer over that...

Those lines are called scan lines and happen because a tv screen is just one dot traveling across the screen and creates a whole bunch of lines, and some cameras capture these lines in a way that they look like ribs, sort of like a moire pattern, but in lines...a monitor holding a vga signal is...
