    editing transparency

Ok, eraser set pixel information. If you use it at 100% opacity it simply clears those affected pixels and once gone...they're gone.(that's why we use masks, because they are "summed" with the actual pixels) This also aplies to any "degree" of erasing...

I'm not really sure if I understand your question... You want to align the shots one over the other? or side by side? If you seek to get one good picture out of 3, I think that's not the right way. If I were you, I'll choose the best shot and work on that one. Photoshop has a lot of wonderfull...

If there are ugly pixel edges...

Maybe there's a future features list at Adobe. I seriously doubt that the change of color will solve your problem. Until then, undo does the trick.

What is the difference between a layer mask and clipping mask?

in a layer mask, you decide by painting from white (opaque) to black(transparent), the alpha level (transparency) of a layer, for instance, if you paint in a layer mask with a gray brush, those painted areas will became transparent to the level of gray you used. A clipping mask, as the name...

    Filters vs. Layer Styles

They're totally different. The guys at Adobe wouldn't make a mistake like that, don't you think? Layer styles are "non-destructive", you can add and tweak as much as you like and your pictures and/or designs remain untouched in a special kind of "layer". The layer styles are achieved by the use...
