    Concrete Ball

I like the image, the concrete ball looks awesome. I think the issue causing the floating is a brain over visual matter. The ball is too close to the wall, and your mind gives it depth, then tells you it's up the wall rather than on the floor. If it were moved down the image slightly, I...

I'd already made this when I saw the "Slap" comment. :)

    Request

Nice Paul. Did you mask out the hair to get the gradient on to that area?

"The object "layer X" is not currently available."

This happens to me sometimes. It's usually caused by one of the process's within the Action that can not work on the desired photo, due to maybe a large expanse of light color, or some other content within the image that stops the process from working.

Halloween Challenge - Spooky Character Creation

As Halloween approaches, and the scary things prepare to come out, I have a seasonal challenge for you. What is scary about Photoshop? I hear you say.. that would be the Pen Tool. Ok, it's not that scary, but the challenge I have is a character creation. Notably, the skinning of a...

    Digital MP3 Player concept

Yes, I do see what you mean. Didn't really notice that until now. Maybe a color change or a pattern detail will help, I will play around with it some more.

Photoshop or some other vector drawer like in flash?

@Trevor - I didn't know that, cheers for the heads up. Overall though, I really don't think you can beat the pen tool for drawing Vector. Ai Pen tool is my 'go to tool' for most projects. Like Tomross has said, once you get over the initial struggle, it's awesome.

    Digital MP3 Player concept

Just messing around with UI skins, and I came up with this. I have no idea how to turn it into a working player, but it's a start. :)

    Trying out a vintage effect

Very nice indeed. The same effects could be used to make a normal scene into a Dark atmospheric image. I look forward to the tutorial.

    Quality Control Yourself

Erm.. That would be not. Having an opinion is called, having an opinion. Judging someone is applying your standards on to that person & making them feel guilty for being less than your expectations. I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but saying that just because you don't like something...

Turn Pencil Sketch Into Digital Painting

Is there any chance we can see the sketch? If I am turning a sketch into a digital image. I would generally start by doing all the black areas. Lines & shapes etc. Then color in the sections that need color afterwards. That is a very basic game plan, but without seeing what you are...

Gz Mike, and yes it sounds like a very cool idea. Now.. what to do? I'll go reflect on that for a while :)

Is it possible to paste a selection along a line?

Just curious as to why you want to do it that way? If the desired outcome is a large rectangle with a gradient, you could just draw a large rectangle & apply a gradient to it. The benefit to that is if you want to move it, you just have 1 shape instead of a row of smaller ones. Just clarify...

Secret Garden & Beyond the Door

re: Secret Garden & Beyond the Door The door suits the image really well. Makes you wish you could see what's on the other side.

Illustrator Recognize fonts after outlines created

Adding a text note is always a good idea, as Inkz has said. You can write as much as you want about how your image was created, and any notes you wish to keep & put it all on it's own layer. Then just hide the layer. Whenever you wish to recap, unhide the layer.
