    I made this Page

the layers in dreamweaver make placement of things very easy as well. I wonder if macromedia offers rewards for catching people with pirated software... it would offset the costs of purchasing their software legally. And it would probably lower prices if people started turning people in...

    I made this Page

I'd say that if you learn to use flash it could look professional.. depends on what you do. as far as dreamweaver MX I purchased a copy of it and its not too hard to use. Rollovers aren't hard at all you just need to create the variations of the image your using as your button.

    How do I... ?

    suggestions wanted

first think I noticed that can be fixed is the "pixels" aren't the same size and don't line up. change the rectangular selection tool to fixed size and use the guides (blue lines you drag from the ruler)

    Drawing tablets

I've got the Intuos2 12x18 and I use it alot. its gone down in price since I've gotten it (since they put out the platinum one) and the large size can be good at times but takes up alot of desk/lap space

    realistic drawing?

well the masters kind of cheated too though. Use of lenses to project the picture onto the canvas weren't uncommon. and I've seen some digital art that is realistic enough but I agree that the greatest challenges are light and texture and I'd add Hair to that list too

I joined NAPP and the website has forums that are pretty informative and they have good tutorials and stuff I haven't really taken advantage of many of the discounts though. and there are more I can't remember all the names of the ones I've checked out.. there are some that focus more on macs...

Need Help Replicating This Effect. . .

Solution to the lack of money and memory... bring a notebook and a pen with you to barnes and nobles. grab the book and some coffee (this is an essential) and copy the section of the book you need to complete this. and then type it out and post it here so the rest of us don't need to do it.

Another "How did they do this"

yeah I think its one picture, probably shot from below. Note the red circle around part of the wall that rises up, I highly doubt someone would do this if they were combining images (due to the laziness factor). but I think its just one shot, a weird shot but thats besides the point...

oki i know this is incredibly dumb...

From what I've seen its not all mac in graphics anymore I think its closer to 50/50 now... and the programs work pretty much the same on mac or pc (with the exception of things like right clicking and pressing that apple key) one thing I have noticed on PC that I think is much better than on...

    umlaut

not only are macs more expensive in the first place, but they're also such a hassle to upgrade that you have to have somebody else do it (or atleast with those ugly monitor/computer in one things). They have been fixing this recently but the price diffrence and the fact that you need to run...

Is there any way to stop fonts looking pixelated?

well really photoshop is gonna have your text looking like crap no matter what because after all everything in it is pixel based. If you want crisp font save the rasterized photoshop image and import it into Illustrator there the text is vector based and will look good. another option is...
