    That means the layer is visible. Try clicking on it and the eye should dim and the layer (whatever is on the layer) will disappear. Click on it again and the eye will become bright again and the layers contents will become visible again.

    Re: Brush only paints with a half visible color? dont know how I made it do that. hel Sounds like you might have changed the opacity. For full strength this setting should be at 100%. You might also want to check the other settings in the attached (either side of opacity).

    Paul, how did you create the cracked earth? Did you grab an on-line image or did you create it from scratch. Seems to me this would be the HARD part if being created from scratch (but of course I could be wrong about that :) )

    I would look for photos that I likes and utilize them. To create that look from scratch would likely be quite a job. That being said just about anything you need/want can be found on the net (or so I am told). As evidence, see the attached screen grab.
