    I need some tips

I use a tablet/laptop convertible. This way I have the best of both worlds. When I want to do PS or CAD design work I can us it in tablet mode and I am working(drawing) on the screen I am looking at. At other times, when I want to do non-design type work I can use it as a laptop. One nice thing...

Help needed in Photo Shop CS6 Please...

Tom, I am not clear why you say you have to re-enlarge the image after dropping the res. Or is this part of the process and has nothing to do do with the settings available in the size box?(see attached) I have always tried to reduce pixilation in my work but I must say the examples you...

    I need some tips

I do the same except I do not use a white layer. I use a clear layer and then use the brush or pencil tool with a colour that is not in the image I am tracing. Once its done I close the base layer and then select all of the clear background and fill it with white and finally invert the selection...

Help needed in Photo Shop CS6 Please...

A simple PS solution would be to reduce the resolution (possibly dramatically) while maintaining or increasing the image size.

    sublimation? i think

Its possible that that a word or phrase may cause a flag to be raised,,,, does not mean its offencive in the context used but in other context it may be. I am sure a mod will get to it sooner rather than later and the mystery will be cleared up. Re your sweater question ----- how about...

    Background-erasing individual pixels?

Try this, Go to Image>Image Size. Increase the resolution, say from 72 to 300 (or whatever you wish) but make sure that you set the Pixel Dimensions (upper box) to 100 % (if the width and height are linked you need to do this for just one of them), and hit enter. Duplicate the layer and turn...

    Need some help

Good stuff, looking really top notch (no bias but I like the liquefied version better, if you could just get the the creases clearer I would say a job well done). Which version of PS do you have, if you can play with puppet warp, it can be used to do some very interesting things, like easily...

Using an image as a brush? (Not sure if the correct wording)

Ah, I love it, interesting technique. Another one for the "I hope I get an opportunity to use this one day" process box. Its too cool not to use. Thanks both for the question and the solutions.

Transform Tool with bad effect (antialias)?

:) I get that sort of thing a lot, usually the thought is I am suggesting that people be good for (whatever reason), but nope, its just that when I first entered the wonderful world of the WWW I was the 4th B Goodman to pick a web id (bgoodman1,2,3, were taken so I took 4) and over 20 years...

Transform Tool with bad effect (antialias)?

Here ya go. Hit the selection tool but before you make the selection adjust the feather parameters (the red arrow is pointing to the correct box to do this). I hope this helps .

Dust and spots on a Service Manual pages

I suspect what you are referring to as dust specs is actually some bleed through from the back of the scanned page. Dust specks etc would be much more random in nature. The specs you have are pretty geometric. Can you try adjusting the scanner to hopefully give you a cleaner image? I also...

Using an image as a brush? (Not sure if the correct wording)

I just did a quick google search and it appears it may well be possible. I am providing a link to the 1st hit in my search results. I did not check out the details but from a quick perusal of the thread linked to it does sound like it can be done (sorry its getting late and I do not have time to...

    Need some help

There are lots of ways to "mess things up". My favourite "mess up" tool is the liquefy tool. If you are not familiar with it you can find it under filters>liquefy. Also, you did not mention which version of PS you have but if its CS5 or later the puppet warp tool can really mess things up...

    WW2 image restoration

Just a guess but I suspect he either means the clone tool (not very likely) or the grid that you see in the image.

How to Insert a pic cut-out so's it looks part 'hidden' ?

Another way would be to put the door layer behind (below) the leaf layer (to do this double click the leaf layer in the layers pallet which will allow you to unlock it - the base layer is always locked - and then drag the leaf layer above the door layer) and then reduce the opacity of the leaf...
