    I designed a T shirt

I doubt that most icons are copyrighted or even copyright-able. Most of them, if not all are in use in many graphics and CAD programs. I doubt very much that Adobe has exclusive rights to these symbols.

    Slicing??

I have never done any work for the web and am completely unfamiliar with the slice tool (does it have any use besides web work?). I took a quick look at the linked to Adobe Help page and it seems that the slice tool will allow you to save to html format. I see no mention of any other format on...

    Scale two dependent layers (parenting)

Oldtimers here too,,,,,I still do not get what the OP is requesting that you folks seem to feel has been answered. It seems to me that there is a need to enlarge the small rectangle and keep the large one in proportion. Is this not correct? Would not scaling the entire canvas up do this? Or is...

    Scale two dependent layers (parenting)

How about just resizing the picture but not constrained. That is, Image>Image Size, un-check constrain proportions and input the required dimensions for the overall project. Would this not work? I may not understand what is required but from what I think the request is this seems like a simple...

    Slicing??

Using one of the selection tools define a selection around the first add and then hit copy. Now open a new project using the settings that PS wants to use (this will make the new project the same size and res as the copied add) and paste the copied add into the project. Now save this new...

Can somebody please help me photoshop this picture?

Thanks Clare, much appreciated. As to the quotes in my above post I manually copied the quoted text and typed (I added the x so it would not generate an actual quote) around it. This created the quoted section of the post. It works but I should not have to do this and it would be preferable to...

    making something higher res

OK, I did more or less the above but with some variation to deal with the golden triangle. It did not want to co-operate with the content aware fill. The results are attached in zipped PDF form (top left corner of this post) with each layers treatment intact (that is, the layers were not...

    making something higher res

Its not REALLY possible to increase the res of a digital image once its at a specific resolution. You can easily lower it but increasing is another matter. That being said there are a number of ways to simulate a higher res. The best and easiest, is to use a program that does this for you. In...
