    Real basic Channel question regarding cracks challenge

    Ferlin Think of the Channel as a re-usable item. If you apply any filter on a textured layer, the texture will be changed. But if you load it as a selection from the Channel, you will retain the texture for use on another layer or mask. Cheers, Al.

    8)) No problem Welles. Check the modal settings in the action. The box beside the New Layer step should not be ticked. That will prevent the dialogue appearing. PS, the action will work with a text layer as well. How's that for a bonus. ;) Cheers, Al.
