    I Want.... Layer > Rasterize > Style

Welles, Hide other layers > New layer > Merge Visible. (Instead of > Merge Linked) As in my previously posted action. It also restores the visibility of any other layers. Cheers, Al.

    I Want.... Layer > Rasterize > Style

Welles, I think we are both up too late for this type of thing. ;) Maybe we are talking at cross purposes here. I presumed that you wanted to retain the Styled Layer, therefore my suggestion for the snapshot option. I discovered that you shouldn't use the select all, copy merged and...

    I Want.... Layer > Rasterize > Style

For the visibility factor, select the layer and Show/ Hide the layers. Alternatively, include "hide snapshot" at the end of the action sequence. If you already have the commands, just record them as an action and assign a custom hotkey. I'm trying to figure at the moment how to automate...

    I Want.... Layer > Rasterize > Style

Web conferencing. :bustagut: Well done Mark Order, Order, One singer one song. ;) 2. New layer > Alt Merged Visible will put the snapshot into the new layer but will leave the original styled layer editable.

    I Want.... Layer > Rasterize > Style

Welles, Just take a merged snapshot and put it into a new layer or document. Variations: 1. Select All, Copy Merged, (New document), Paste. 2. New Layer, Alt Merged Visible. 3. Snapshot function from the History menu. (I think \:] ) I use method 1 quite often, record as an action and...

    3D Mapping Channel Interest?

So you are a Cinema goer as well Mark. :D Have you used BP at all? Materials with transparency, alpha and then you can bung a layer mask on top which can be inverted for good measure. [confused] Stroker, keep them coming. I can follow most (some \:] ) of your dissertations. There is...

100% black in Illustrator now 80% or so in Photoshop

He! He! Just think how boring life would be without these little trials and tribulations. Glad you have got it sorted anyway. I was starting to think that I had finally lost the plot. [confused] :bustagut: Cheers, Al.

    Color Matching question.

Moth, a Hue and Saturation or Selective Colour Adjustment layer linked (Option + click on the divider in the layer palette) to each head are my weapons of choice for this type of thing. Al.

100% black in Illustrator now 80% or so in Photoshop

Sorry Tanya, I should have said: (Photoshop) Photoshop > Colour Settings > Colour Management Policies. Make sure that Preserve Embedded Profiles is the option for RGB, CMYK & Grey profiles. Let's try another thing, just to narrow the options a tad. Could you e-mail me a sample...

i'd like to make a graph background

Bob, you can save time by defining a pattern tile, and store it for later use in other documents. Decide/ measure the size of of a single tile, say 20px square. File > New > 20 x 20 RGB. Fill with the colour for the background. Select >All and nudge the selection along and down by 3px...

Ooookay! I see this is going to be another epic adventure. Just when I had a big durty Uruk-Hai in the sights of my Elvish double barrel plazma bazooka. Points to check. (In Illustrator) 1. Which colour palette are you using? Default CMYK, Pantone, Mac Standard? Look under Window >...

    3D New Poser Thread

Erik, I think I have most of these links BM'd. The Debevec site is well worth the info and free probes. I'll see if I have some others. Bryce can't open Poser files directly, just the .obj mesh files. Al.

100% black in Illustrator now 80% or so in Photoshop

Tanya, the only way I could get anything near your problem is in the Illustrator file setting. Check: File > Document Mode > CMYK. (Not RGB) I think that you have the Illustrator file set as RGB and the problem is with the RGB > CMYK conversion. (I got 63,52,51,95 on one profile) You...

Well, Flexify Me! :bustagut: It's a bit like Polar Co-ords on steroids. Erik, do you think the Flexify filter could have a use in C4D for pseudo - HDRI's? Al.
