    3D Mystical Grotto

    Try adding some sugar, some say. Or a real turkish coffee: fill half a cup with coffee, fill the other half with sugar and then add boiling water 'till the cup is half full. 8}

greyscale/RGB convert V.S. Color Channels (monochrome)

I wanted to merge both threads, but unfortunately the option to do so seems to have disappeared. As for the AdjLayers: I've been doing quite some work switching to greyscale, so it's fresh in my memory. Good idea to move the doc. And also good idea to create an action (I usually forget this...

    3D Mystical Grotto

Good work, man! Hehehe...bizarre is that of all C4D modules, the *thinking* particles is the one most people get a headache from. Fropm thinking how it might work that is.... No offense meant as you well know. ;)

greyscale/RGB convert V.S. Color Channels (monochrome)

I took the liberty to move this thread to the photography forum. Hope you don't mind... The most correct greyscale you can get is by switching to lab mode, and then selecting the Lightness channel. When you use Desaturate or Greyscale, PS itself calculates mean values based on the data...

probs with previewing in browsers with DWMX

...and I am very glad you could recreate the problem. It's quite assuring for me that a pro can reproduce it, so it must indeed be some kind of workflow the DW designers haven't thought about. Me, I thought it was due to a badly loaded DW and because I was very tired, it hadn't occured to me t...

probs with previewing in browsers with DWMX

OK. So I changed all null links (#) in corrct new links, and now everything seems to work. I don't understand it, but it looks like it's working. I only discovered that Opera and Mozilla have enough with "normal" code, but that IE needs spacer gifs to respect a set table stucture. Better...

probs with previewing in browsers with DWMX

Well, I always start with creating a root folder in my Sites Folder. I have one folder for experiments, but this site is created from scratch in its own root folder. Bizarre is that on the same page some links work perfectly from the first moment, and others simply won't work. I follow the...

probs with previewing in browsers with DWMX

The most bizarre thing of all: when I look at the code in DW, I have links to the pages. Yet when I look at the code in a browser, I get # (dummies). Also when I upload them to a server. And I did save my pages.

probs with previewing in browsers with DWMX

I found the cause, although I cannt understand why it happened: somehow DW has put an # after all the .htm extension that I cannot see. ????????? First I had to manually reset the sizes of columns and rows in a nested table, then non-breaking spaces were playing bingo with another table...

probs with previewing in browsers with DWMX

Can anyone explain to me how come that in DWMX (I slowly start hating this app as it never ever does what I want it to, so I always have to hand-code) when I preview in every browser available, I often, but not always, do not get a link, while in the code it is there, the code is correct...

    ColorWasher2

Perhaps, yes. I plan to get this one finished bt the end of the week. I also plan "my kind of" reviews on FocalBlade (same manufacturer), then Projact Dogwaffle (thanks a zillion times, Stu!) I also suggest that anyone who wants to would test out a plugin, helper, app, even, why not, PSCS...

    ColorWasher2

ColorWasher has been upgraded to version2. I will upload a complete review later, but believe me: it's gotten even better. Nearly all things I wished for when trying out CW1 have been added, and many more. www.thepluginsite.com

    Sepia affect

I am someone who loves as many options as possible, and duotone offers a lot of them. It's the one I tend to recommend as it's the more official, and people learn most from making things not too automatic. Another method I love (this one I found myself, one of my first home-made tricks) is...

    Sepia affect

Use the Channel Mixer to get a very good monochrome (or use the L channel of LAB mode) Then switch to greyscale, then to duotone and pick your colours. Finally set back to RGB. (or it should be for offset printing)

    Metatags

Yup. That hotlink protection should stop people from linking directly to images or whatever content I specify. But I must say that I don't even know half of all these things. This will mean another study. It's very clear to me that the last couple of years, website-building has changed from...
