    Main distortion was made with Displacement map only. Then I added some ajustment layers and a layer with glares. The project stored on my home desktop. I`ll show whole stuff in 2 hours.

    Well, you know, there's no "hard manual labor". Just a back layer with gradient, one distorted rectangle with noise and 2 vector paths and 15 minutes of my work time. But I cheated a bit. :) Well, to be honest, cheated a lot. Gonna tell later when get home.

    attributes panel - overprint stroke on. Than turn "overprint preview" on in View menu.

    Another approach. No distortion in the middle, more distortion to the edges.

    Okay, there's one per rectum way to do this. Change temporarily the resolution of your destination document to 72dpi, insert your smart object from Illustrator, then change back to 96dpi.

    I reaaly can'n understand what the problem is. You got ur buttons pixel aligned and with proper pixel sixe. Export ur stuff from Illustrator to png or tiff or any raster file, open it in Photoshop and change its resolution.

    You should make ur buttons in Illustrator with real pixel size havin turned the option "Align to Pixel Grid" on.
