    Improving this page...

perhaps unify the template with a 1 or 2 pt outline. Not sure you realy need the bevelled look on the sides and bottom. They are more suited to tech interfaces etc where its a complete thing. I think keeping it simple is the best way to go with that design you have got. I like the header...

Would you pay a small price to learn?

I think a subscription is the best idea andvalid means of operating Mark. I currently pay around $40- 60au a month in magazines that cover PS/illustrator/dreamweaver/flash etc etc etc. $5us ($10au) is very reasonable for 2 PS tutes a month. Being a subscription, it would also be a good...

    Saving colors

you can add them to your palette by saving as a new swatch under the option menu for that palette. It will remain there with that document until deleted, ie it saves with the document itself. You can also create custom swatch palettes that you can save and use with other documents using the...

    Batch Conversion Question?

The important question I think is what do you intend on doing with the photos? If you only intend on archiving then yeah, the above stuff. But if you intend on working on these photos at any time in future and your heart is set on compression, then Tiff would be your optimum choice.

    Clarity of Text in Photoshop

Is the logo available on print at all? if so you could also scan at appropriate setting for your final output and magnification. You can then go into photoshop and fix colour balance etc etc. If you have the logo in vector format, I would advise getting illustrator and working on it in that.
