    Its time people.....

With all the tech marketing thrown our way on television, magazines etc...how can anyone be over the subject? Its in our face every day. Apple's release of OS10 (and Adobe's decision to release Illustrator 11 and Photoshop 8 as being incompatible with anything less then OS10) and the new G5...

    Its time people.....

lol fair enuff :D Personally I think it has everything to do with photoshop, I think anyone who uses photoshop and is seriously thinking about entering the industry, is faced with the daunting task of deciding which side of the fence to sit on at some point. I mean hey, we all want the best...

    Its time people.....

for a Mac vs PC debate :D What....with the new G5 out and about, which Apple claim to be the fastest Desktop in the market now with twin 2Ghz G5 chips, it would be interesting to see how many diehard mac fans are still about. Personally I cant stand them, although OS 10 is an improvement as...

Can I get some feedback on this logo??

If you're interested there is a really good collection of logos here. http://www.coolhomepages.com/newstatic/Logos/1.html?HS22=Center&HS23=Logos if you study their typography you'll see what I am getting at.

Can I get some feedback on this logo??

Why would you want clashing elements in a logo? Its not an artwork, its a business identity. The simpler it is the better. Typography is extremely important in design (not art) And the first rule is to be strict on yourself with fonts. You have to be game to use more then 2 fonts for...

Can I get some feedback on this logo??

I agree with headsteve. You should draw the logo in illustrator. Just a word of advice, bevel, emboss and drop shadows are an effect you should use very sparingly. They are a cheap effect and often look that way. Any Joe Bloe can pick up a graphic program and apply them. I think a 3d look is...

    any suggestions for improvement

When i do it in flash, most of the text will appear to the right of screen, for anything appearing on top of the sun, it will be dimmed out. There are a few other things I am doing once I start the flash project that will make more sense of the sun. :D Thats if I keep it of course hehe. I did...

    Re-draw Problem

If your tracing an image with the pen tool, ur best friends are the Alt and ctrl keys :D If you hold down the alt button while over a handle it changes to the to the convert point tool, which u can use to shape ur last path before moving onto the next. The ctrl key switches the pen to the...

Update on the 2 Color Changes in CMYK (Rantin Al!)

YA i think relationship building is what seperates very proffesional from poor business. Not just for printing either but your clients as well. I read an interesting article the other day in Computer Arts Mag (from memory) that summed it up by saying if you want to be competative as a...

Update on the 2 Color Changes in CMYK (Rantin Al!)

depends where u are I guess. Some Printers in canberra will accept eps, but prefer pdf. Last time i used a eps was 8 months ago i think. .pdf has all the same capabilities and then some. At the end of the day all you need do is find a good printer you can build a relationship...

Update on the 2 Color Changes in CMYK (Rantin Al!)

10 pantones what the hell??? Thats crazy. Craaaaazy. The best way to solve problems with fonts etc is to export or save files as pdf. PDF distiller is a good investment too. .pdf is the only file i ever send to printers....ever. I cant imagine doing it any other way.

Update on the 2 Color Changes in CMYK (Rantin Al!)

I consider a professional to be someone who specialises in a skill/trade and produces work and service at a standard WORTHY of paying for. Hence, those that do not, are unprofessional. However, it is important you do what the printer requires. It's best to find a proffesional printer...

I hate printers that think sucking ur thumb and pressing print is qualifying.

Update on the 2 Color Changes in CMYK (Rantin Al!)

Go to a proffesional and world recognised print service, like worldwide online for example. DO NOT WALK THROUGH THE DOORS OF THESES IDIOTIC DUPES AGAIN! If they cant print a simple pantone, they are not printers and NOT WORTHY OF UR TIME LET ALONE MONEY. If you go to a professional...
