Using photoshop soley for Desktop Publishing

You limit urself if only use one sort of software for dtp. Photshop is a key and fundamental program but not enough. You cant have as much control on text elements for print (copy) etc as opposed to say in quarkxpress. To control bleeds etc, I think you are best importing a design into quark and...

    suggestions for glass tile effect?

Hey guys, I am currently playing around with a header design for my portfolio. Just wondering if anyone out there can help me get a glass tile effect as opposed to the one demonstrated. Would like to see how it looks. I tried applying some of the elements used in the glass pill tut (not in the...

    Realistic Glass/Plastic Business Card??

Looks awesome man, i really like it. The only thing I would suggest trying is removing the metalic border and replacing it with plastic or acrylic border (spelling) anything that looks more like a computer monitor. It may even look better without the border all together. I know that when i...

    will my graphic work?

Personally I would do this logo in illustrator as a vector and only use pantone if your looking at no more then 2 colours. I would also save a cmyk version and rgb version then each time you want to use the logo, simply resize and export as tiff into quarkXpress (if printing cmyk version) or...
